It’s important to take the time to shine some light on the movers and shakers in your community. At times they can be too busy following their mission and bettering the world around them, to take the time to make you aware of who they are and what they’re doing to give our children a better tomorrow. Let’s take the time to learn about just a few, shall we? These four organizations work out of a few of our Richmond coworking spaces, and we’re so stoked they agreed to be a part of today’s blog! Altogether, it supplies you with an office environment without the necessity of everyone working on the same project, to each his/her own, but together. Those spaces are now becoming common around the world” [Read More](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/benefits-of-coworking) 1 Comment [Click here to read/write comments](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/benefits-of-coworking#comments-listing) ## [Finding Your Work/Play Balance](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/finding-your-work-play-balance) Posted by [The Great Big Everything](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/author/the-great-big-everything) on May 23, 2019 9:03:12 PM - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) We hope that everyone can agree on the importance of making time for yourself -- time to relax & unwind. But how in the heck do you reconcile this vital need with the never-ending call of your professional life? Well, one of the wonderful things about being a part of Gather is that we have so many great coworkers from all walks of life working out of three different locations (soon to be five!). Today is National Bike to Work Day! Do you ride to work? Have you ever? While, in this writer's opinion, Richmond bike lane choices can be a bit limited in terms of options for commuter transportation, there are resources one can consult for their ride around town to get to and from work. Whether you're riding part of the Canal Walk west toward our Downtown location, or you're taking Leigh St (and its bike lanes) to our Scott's Addition location, or any other number of options, it's possible to formulate a bike route that's comfortable for you and, most importantly, makes you feel *safe.* Please consult [this map](http://www.arcgis.com/apps/MapTour/index.html?appid=f61f7997ca474b63b39d5c5c1c3a936b) of Richmond bike paths that was created by local cyclist/pedestrian safety advocates [Bike Walk RVA.](https://www.sportsbackers.org/program/bike-walk-rva/) [Read More](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/how-do-you-bike-to-gather) 1 Comment [Click here to read/write comments](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/how-do-you-bike-to-gather#comments-listing) ## [Happy National Small Business Week!](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/happy-national-small-business-week) Posted by [The Great Big Everything](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/author/the-great-big-everything) on May 8, 2019 5:20:11 PM - [Tweet](https://twitter.com/share) [![](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/national-small-business-week-2019-gather-2.png)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/happy-national-small-business-week) Gather's been going five years strong and we've been home to hundreds of small businesses along the way. And in the spirit of celebration, we're pleased to wish everyone a happy National Small Business Week. But, "What is this Small Business Week?" you might be asking... Today is Earth Day and in celebration of that, we're so excited to shine a bright, bright light on some of our solar-industry professionals. We have quite a few, working across all three of our Gather locations! Included below is a good cross-section of all these bright thinkers. We asked them two questions -- 1) "Why are you in the solar industry?" and 2) "What message would you like to send to our readers who are on the fence about converting to solar?" Each person who has or currently still does cowork from Gather have helped shape the organization and has helped us become who we are today. And it is thanks to you and to them that we  had the honor of receiving a special award. Coworking is more than coffee and connected space. It's the people. It's the possibilities. It's about your productivity, your goals, your future.   ## It's time to belong here. Think here. Create here. Flourish here. Surround yourself with opportunity. Do working differently. **Gather here.** ### Get new blogs by email ### Recent Posts ### Posts by Tag - [Coworking (56)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/coworking) - [Office Space (45)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/office-space) - [Gather Blog (29)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/gather-blog) - [Gather (25)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/gather) - [RIchmond, VA (19)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/richmond-va) - [Remote Work (15)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/remote-work) - [Flexible Workspace (13)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/flexible-workspace) - [Business Corner (10)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/business-corner) - [Employee Productivity (10)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/employee-productivity) - [Hampton Roads (9)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/hampton-roads) - [Insider (8)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/insider) - [Freelancing (7)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/freelancing) - [Working From Home (7)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/working-from-home) - [Workspace Solutions (7)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/workspace-solutions) - [Company Culture (6)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/company-culture) - [Community (5)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/community) - [Member Highlight (5)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/member-highlight) - [Shared Space (4)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/shared-space) - [Workspace (4)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/workspace) - [Flexible Membership (3)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/flexible-membership) - [LGBTQ (3)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/lgbtq) - [Newport News, VA (3)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/newport-news-va) - [Norfolk, VA (3)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/norfolk-va) - [Office Design (3)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/office-design) - [Pride Month (3)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/pride-month) - [Shared Office Space (3)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/shared-office-space) - [Traditional Office Space (3)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/traditional-office-space) - [COVID-19 (2)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/covid-19) - [Coworking Amenities (2)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/coworking-amenities) - [Self-Checkout (2)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/self-checkout) - [24/7 Access (1)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/24-7-access) - [FAQs (1)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/faqs) - [Finance (1)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/finance) - [Frequently Asked Questions (1)](https://go.gatherworkspaces.com/blog/tag/frequently-asked-questions) - [Gov.
